Happy Thanksgiving

One thing I am thankful for is having a child in preschool. I never have to worry about not having enough cute decorations for the holidays. This picture cracks me up. The same cheeseball smile whether she's a pilgrim or not.

I am also thankful for...

the lives that we have. I feel soooo thankful for my family. I love and respect my children and my husband and in return they love and respect me. How great is that! I am thankful we have our freedom. The freedom to be who we want to be and do what we want to do. I am able to live my life exactly how I want to and not have to worry about somebody telling me I can't do it that way. I am thankful for all the opportunities I have had in my life. Even though I strive to do more and be better I am thankful for the life I have been given and the life I have made it. Happy Thanksgiving!!!

Random Monday

I just got done making a hair clip (that perfectly matches the outfit I got) for a friends new baby girl. Anybody who wants to find out how can go to theribbonretreat.com and click on the bug bows. They sure are cute!!The best thing about having a brother who works at Simplot is......the endless fries, tator tots, and mashed potatos that you can make things like this with. YUM!And my mom has a little stray kitty that needs a home. She was on deaths door when she showed up a few weeks ago but is great now. She is very sweet and loves people as you can see. Sean said no so we're out. Anybody else?

Jase and her good week

Jase had a great week. First off she was star of the week in her class and got all the perks-Line Leader, Passer outer, Posters and they wrote a book about her. Then she got to pick out of the treasure box with gold coins collected for good behavior. Then we got a letter telling us she was being recognized in an assembly. We weren't supposed to tell her and I was guessing she wouldn't even notice we were there but she saw us within the first 2 minutes from across the gym. These are terrible pictures but that's what you get when holding a 2 year old and taking pictures with one hand of a kid 50 feet away.
She saw us.Receiving her award from the Principal for being an outstanding example to her peers. What a cutie. So proud.
We love you Jase!!

Tooth Fairy visit #2

This post has A LOT of pictures. I took so many because it was funny to see Jaselynne run the whole gammit of emotions within a short period of time.

A few days ago Jase finally decided it was time to pull her second tooth. She wanted to do it the same as last time so we tied her tooth to Coopers leash. But then this happened. We didn't want to push her so we told her we wanted her to pick the day. She chose Tuesday as her blessed day.We gave her an extra day to see if she could do it on her own. Nope. If it hadn't been hurting her and bothering her so much we would have let that poor tooth hang on by a thread for as long as it took. She was drying it off with TP before tying the floss and ended up with it all over her tongue.

We gave up on that because once again she chickened out so to the bathroom we went.
Her soft pulling wasn't going to get it out that's for sure.
I convinced her to pick something to tie it to and throw and she picked her ceramic kittens in a basket. From there it went to standing on the bed and dropping it on a pile of blankets. She was so not ready but wanted it out.
She was getting her courage up.Wahoo....it's out!! With tears in her eyes and a smile on her face. Her tooth is almost in, it's the redder spot with 3/4 of a tooth in on the right.
Happy, Happy, Joy, Joy.Here is her cute note. I told her "Ya know the Tooth Fairy isn't Santa Clause. I don't know if she is going to bring you stuff besides money everytime you loose a tooth."

Translation-Dear Tooth Fairy, I would like another whistle please. And her terribly sharp tooth is in the bottom left in the baggie, she set it there just right.

Glad my Mom is a pack rat

My Mother is the best Mom is the WHOLE WORLD! Don't try and tell me yours is because your wrong and there's no argument. One thing I love about her is she's sentimental. Not only is she sentimental but smart. I'm not sure if she kept my old trolls for sentimental reasons or because she thought she/I would get some money for them someday but it doesn't matter, Jase found them. She found them in a box in a closet and fell in love, just as I had. There's like 30 of them in there and she's having a blast! Jayda is just as enthralled with the ugly things too.

Can you tell she had just woke up like 30 seconds before I took this photo. She literally rolled outta bed and dumped the box out. Funny girl.Maybe I should go diggin in Mom's closets too!

Punkins a plenty

I took this picture a little late, you can see some had started to rot. This is our back porch, we didn't want to risk losing our pumpkins to the street. Top right is Jayda's with Dad's help. Middle right is Jaselynnes all by herself. See that crazy tooth? You can tell she had teeth on her mind when she was carving it. We carved our Pumpkins at Grandma Redfords this year and it was fun to be able to do it with the cousins. And the bottom left (kitty) is the pumpkin Jayda decorated at school. We had our annual pumpkin painting at my Moms. You cant really tell but Jayda dumped like 7 pounds of glitter on her masterpiece.
This is Jase with her Pumpkin she got at school. They had a pumpkin science day where they learned all about the life cycle, the benefits and everything else you don't really need to know about pumpkins. She had a blast and was so proud.

We decided to spread the wealth this year as we ended up with a ton of pumpkins. 10!! In the end we had the perfect amount.

Ughhh! Snow!!

At least Jayda likes it.

This one she was asking me if there was snow stuck in her teeth.

I have to admit it does look pretty the first minute or so.

Farm Day

Jase went on her first alone field trip. Man she's growing right up!! I had planned on going but it turned out to be the same day and time as Jayda's Halloween program so I told her she had to go it alone. She really wanted me to go because she thought she was going to be the only one there without a mom or dad. After I found out that's what was worrying her so much I told her that wasn't true and she got a little excited. When I told her she could take one of the camera's she got a lot excited. The teacher told me she would hold it for her and then ended up taking all the pictures. I'm a little disappointed I didn't get Jasey's point of view but glad I did get some usable pictures. This is her with her class. Her doing one of the activities. She is so blurry but o'well it's the memories

Petting the baby chihuahua that she so desperately wanted to bring home. To bad!!

Saved the best picture for last.

She wanted to wear her horse shirt and her cowgirl boots "It's farm day Mom." What a funny girl--I'm glad she ended up having a great time. When I picked her up and asked it how it went she said "Mom, it was great, I'm glad you weren't there. Well, not glad but I did have fun."

Another reason why I love my husband.

Every morning when I come out to take the girls to school the windows are already scraped. Ahh...it's love!

Jasey's no good terrible day

It was time for our regular trip to the dentist and I was glad because I was worried about Jase's second set of teeth coming in behind her first. Her baby tooth wasn't even loose and I wasn't sure what to do about it. But by the time we had the actual appt her tooth started to wiggle. Anyway, we went and Jase did absolutely great!! The dentist said she was fine as long as the baby tooth comes out and it hasn't yet but it's getting closer. We had to go back to get fillings on the ones our previous dentist said we should just watch. He was like 'heck no, we're not gonna watch em' and I also found out that she is not supposed to brush after she drinks her daily cranberry juice because it actually brushes more enamel off and is worse than not brushing. He wants her to do a rinse. A little info for those who drink acidic drinks. A pic of our little shark with her 2nd row of teeth.
The same day she had to go to the dentist she had a doctors appt to check for a UTI and sure enough it was positive. I thought it would be and know what caused it. She is pretty easy to predict not only when she has one but beforehand. We work with her constantly to help prevent them and I am so excited they have slowed down so much. They have not only slowed because we know a lot of what causes them but because her insides are growing as she grows and the doctors hoped that would happen. So even though she is sick-I am hopeful that as more time goes on she will get better and better. Here's her medicine paper chain with 20 links on it. Makes it a little easier to get the gross stuff down her throat.

Jayda also went to the dentist at the same time as Jasey's fillings. Their appts were actually scheduled back to back but they were running behind on Jase so two nurses came out of different doors and called their names at the same time. I ended up running back and forth across the building for a lot of the time. Jayda's took A LOT longer which surprised me because it was supposed to be just a checkup but they decided to seal her teeth and it took forever. The dentist said Jayda has defective enamel and they had to seal them. Just add it to the list.

Both girls did so wonderful and impressed all the staff at how well they sat and listened. They make me proud everyday!!

Here kitty kitty

Since Jase's white poodle costume didn't pan out I let her browse around ebay and she found this kitty costume. There have only been 2 times I have been disappointed on ebay and this is one of them. I should have take pre-owned condition a little more serious. Oh well!!
This is what we got (after I washed the dirty thing mind you) And this is what I did. Jase was just fine with it but I thought it was the ugliest cat costume I had ever seen. A couple fake eyelashes, some rhinestones, a collar made out of stuff found at the dollar store, fur and a little nail polish did the trick.

I also ended up adding fur to all the cuffs because even though the measurements said it should fit, it was to short. My poor innocent girl would have been introduced to the 'make fun of ' hall of fame at school. I'm glad it turned out.

Tons 'o' sugar cookie

I had to post this for Jase. She was the sole creator of the cookies we took home to Sean. Who because of work wasn't able to go to Grandma's birthday. And man did she make him some cookies. The one he is going to eat measured over 2 inches tall with frosting and candy although by the time Sean got to it, it was a little saggy.
Trying to figure out the best angle. Haha!! Doesn't he look so excited!!
Good thing he has a big mouth. ;)
No diabetic coma this time. Maybe next year.

Thanks for being such a good Dad. Love you babe!

Groovin and Shakin

Jayda was in heaven this morning with 2 of her favorite things--watching the Fresh Beat Band and eating (or shoveling in her mouth) Grandpa's homemade popcorn.

Birthday at Grandma's

For the last few years and running we have gone to my Grandma and Grandpa's house for a Halloween/Birthday Bash. It ends up being a little family reunion cuz almost everybody ends up coming. Here is most everybody eatin some grub, a few were off getting food or chasing kids.
One part my kids look forward to most is the cookie decorating. My mom went all out on the cookie toppings this year and I'm just glad no child convinced me to eat their cookie. Colton must concentrate better with his tongue out. :)
This is Jaselynne's cute little vampire creation.Oh my gosh this little cousin is so cute!! Everytime Kamryn (sp?) saw the camera this is what you got.My nephew Finley loving the frosting a little.
I asked him to smile and say cheese. Ha!
The kids bring their costumes and have to take pictures with no trick or treating. They really do love it though.
Love Bug.
Jase "The kitty" and Conley "The transformer" aka "Best Buds"
Jayda eyeing Coltons crazy swamp monster hands. He was a little creepy.
Say Cheese.Happy Birthday Grandma We Love You!!
