Not because we won the Lottery
or Sean graduated and got a humugo awesome job
or we hired a maid.
(notice how all those involve money :)
But because it was a good and sweet day.
I went to an awesome progressive dinner with the youth
and while I was doing that
Jase went to her first activity day.
After, we were cleaning a little cut on her hand
(for the umpteenth time)
that I can't seem to get the infection out of
and Jase asked, through tears, if we could say a
special prayer when we did nightly prayers.
So we did.
Then she asked for a blessing.
While Sean was getting the oil
Jase said something about it "not being fair
that girls don't get the priesthood"
and how in the second coming she hopes
girls get the priesthood and boys don't.
I laughed.
And Jayda said
"But we don't need it, Dad can do all of the saving of us"
And I smiled.
Then after Jase's blessing,
Jayda wanted one to.
She's been sick and doesn't want to miss school tomorrow
because they are studying 'W'atersafety
and going in a hot tub.
(I wouldn't want to miss it either!)
"But only one blessing Dad."
I am so proud of my girls
and the sweet little testimonies that they have
of
Prayer
and Blessings
and the Priesthood
(even if it's only Jayda that has that one :)
It made my heart smile.
I love them.
