My how you've grown

I heard the girls giggling when they were supposed
to be brushing their hair and
came around the corner to find Jase doing this....

And of course Jayda had to get in on the action.

Brush hair makes great pit hair.
They thought it was the funniest thing Ever!
I have to admit...
they may be almost right.

What the hail?

This weather has finally
got me singing the winter blues.
I was doing pretty well until
Spring decided to show up
and then leave again.
Dang Winter.
Dang Spring.
So I decided I need a new craft
to become obsessed with.
Hmmm......
I'm thinking pillowcase dresses.

Sunday talk

I know what Jayda talked about in Primary today.

Jayda: "Mom do you think we'll ever have cigarettes?"
Me: "No, I hope not"
Jayda: "Oh good, cuz they're bad for you."
Jase who joins us "What's bad for you?"
Jayda: "Oh, don't worry about it Jase."
Jase: "But what are you talking about?"
Jayda: "Jase, it's bad, you don't need to know about it."

And apparently Jayda can quote me as
that's what I say when something's to adult for them.

I wanted to remember this day

Not because we won the Lottery
or Sean graduated and got a humugo awesome job
or we hired a maid.
(notice how all those involve money :)

But because it was a good and sweet day.
I went to an awesome progressive dinner with the youth
and while I was doing that
Jase went to her first activity day.
After, we were cleaning a little cut on her hand
(for the umpteenth time)
that I can't seem to get the infection out of
and Jase asked, through tears, if we could say a
special prayer when we did nightly prayers.
So we did.
Then she asked for a blessing.
While Sean was getting the oil
Jase said something about it "not being fair
that girls don't get the priesthood"
and how in the second coming she hopes
girls get the priesthood and boys don't.
I laughed.
And Jayda said
"But we don't need it, Dad can do all of the saving of us"
And I smiled.
Then after Jase's blessing,
Jayda wanted one to.
She's been sick and doesn't want to miss school tomorrow
because they are studying 'W'atersafety
and going in a hot tub.
(I wouldn't want to miss it either!)
"But only one blessing Dad."

I am so proud of my girls
and the sweet little testimonies that they have
of
Prayer
and Blessings
and the Priesthood
(even if it's only Jayda that has that one :)
It made my heart smile.
I love them.

Little Miss O

We picked up Little Miss O
on Wednesday.
And what a cutie.

She doesn't love the camera,
everytime I get it out she yells no and turns away,
hence the blurry phone pic.
We had an 85th birthday party for my Grandpa
and O had everybody wrapped around her little finger.

Feeding her cake...

and strawberries and playing trains for hours.

Then it was out to play with bugs.
She looks likes she loves them huh?

I think I love her already.
:)

Shhhh....

I am excited so I wanted to post something but you'll have to wait to find out what it is!! :)

April is here.

Is it just me or did March go by way to fast! It was pretty slow the first week after Kelsey left because I didn't have to look at the calender every single day to check where she was or what appt she had and because of that I missed 2 of my own appt's. Oops! But this was the rest of our month.
Warning: This is a long (with a few blurry pictures) post.

This is the girls the morning after Kelsey left. Thats her picture in the background, they wanted to include her in their game of Jenga. They are doing a lot better. They probably only cried a few times over a couple days. They have handled this placement change the best so far. I think we prepped them a lot better this time.

Then we had the drama of Jaselynne's tooth. She is such a wienie when it comes to pulling out her teeth. When I was a kid I yanked mine out when they showed the faintest sign of being loose. Look how far down she could pull this one--thats how loose it was.
I ended up just yanking it out myself (after she had a huge meltdown! See those swollen eyes!) and Jase said "Mom, I should have just let you do it in the first place."
Texting her Daddy to tell him about it because he's a bit scarce lately.

Her Birthday day she woke up to a birthday spanking and a bird cage. We went a few days later and got these feathered friends. I'm going to have to start charging admission to this zoo we have going on!

Cupcake is on the left, Tweety bird is on the right.

Jaselynne's birthday party was a great time. She had it at a local gymnastics place. It was a family and friends party. She wanted to invite a few more friends (Jayda was a little miffed because Jase didn't want to invite Jayda's friends haha) but couldn't because of the kid limits and then only one from school showed up but luckily she had friends from church and family there. It turned out to pretty fun.

Waiting for the rope swing that Uncle Russ so kindly pushed everyone on.

Giving awesome friends hugs for awesome presents!

She finally got her DS she has been wanting for 2 years. Thanks Gma!
And then there was Sean who had to be all crazy. He obviously forgot this isn't 30 years ago.
And my smart a comment at the end is because he kept asking did you get a picture of that? did you get a video of that? So I finally did just so I could say I did. I was actually a little impressed with this one, not so much the balance beam above though. :)
And the kid noise are the ones in the back jumping off the trampoline into the foam pit. That was a hit for sure.

We have had a great busy end of the month. Hoping next month is the same!
