Dance, dance, dance

There's a pretty good tradition going on in our family. It's the turn up the music as loud as it will go and dance around like a bunch of monkeys during Sean's lunch break tradition. We do this a few times a week and the kids LOVE it! Sorry the video is so blurry but you get the idea.

This is My Life!

I've been thinking alot lately about my life. In general. The life of a mom can be every emotion and every feeling all in one day. It is made up of things and moments. I have wanted to be more philosophical on my blog but honestly at the end of the day I don't want to think much. But I decided this is my life right now, my kids are my life. Today I decided to record my day. So this is it.
My Life.

My Life is dishes...
time-outs and messy clothes...peanut butter sandwiches...sippy cups... laundry...and band-aids and kisses...But My Life is also fun walks around the block moments...laughing moments...Jase carrying Jayda across the grass because she didn't want to step on dog poop moments...Run around until you are exhausted moments...I'm feeling better even though I puked again yesterday moments... I'm trying to cheer you up while you're in time-out moments...
(Don't worry Dane wasn't picking on John he was spraying himself too)And I love you moments.

Give me a few years and my blog will be a little more philosophical but until then enjoy my things, my moments and my kids because this is My Life.

Monday Madness

We had a crazy weekend. Instead of doing a five for friday I'm doing a Monday Madness. Here's the latest happenings for the Redfords.

1. We did get the flu. Jayda, John and Kaylin have gotten it so far (not to mention Dane). Jayda and John are feeling better and Kaylin is not puking anymore but still not up to par yet. I have another sinus infection too so we have been doing a lot of this lately. Not the seducing the camera part the cuddling part! :)2. Jayda started preschool last Wednesday. She is going to my friend Celeste's house for a couple hours once a week. Just a little practice for the fall. I got her signed up for dance/preschool and she is sooooo excited. Loving Celeste's house too!
3. Jase had a "friends" party at the bowling alley on Saturday. She had fun even though only one showed up. I am sooooooooo glad that she did, it would have broke Jaselynne's heart if no one had came. Here is Jase and Janessa with Jaselynne enjoying a cupcake.
With her Great Grandma Langshaw at Mom's house earlier in the day. Her teacher told me last week that she was glad Jase was in her class. She said "Jase is such a good example to the other girls, with 2/3's of the class girls there can be quite a bit of drama and Jase doesn't fall into it and is just a good example. We really enjoy her." We are pretty proud of her. I will be doing her birthday post hopefully tommorrow.
4. We have 11 new Redfords at our house. A family friend was moving out of one of Mom's rentals and asked if we wanted their fish. I didn't really but they said they were going to flush them if we didn't take them. Man I'm a sucker. So I went and bought a Littlest Pet Shop fish tank and Jase got another birthday present, 2 pink convict cichlids and 5 new guppies. They have pokies in their fins, are not small and they are a pair. I am hoping they don't breed. I might have to throw the babies in with our goldfish if they do. Since they are our "population control" for our guppies I know they would love it. And..........remember our stray cat that found us, well she left us a present last night. 4 babies. Thank heavens it was only four. I am going to have to get a farm permit. 2 white girls and 2 black tabby boys. I think they are a little early cuz they are pretty small.Sophina has a stubby tail and this one does too. Jayda named it Lu-Lu. The other kids haven't decided on their names yet.5. I start watching Dane tommorrow. I was supposed to start today but Michaela stayed home cuz he was sick. I will watch him Mon-Thur 8:30 to 4. Boy am I gunna get some looks if I go down town. :) A 6 yr old, a 4 yr old, 2 3 yr olds and a 2 yr old. I already get enough "you must be Mormon." Love this kid, isn't he so cute.

Phew! How's that for a catch up!

It started at 3:30 am

AAAAHHHHHH!!!!!!!! Jayda is puking A.G.A.I.N. 4 times so far. I was hoping in the middle of the night that it was just a slight case of food poisoning. I'm guessing I'm not going to be so lucky! :) Now I have to call family that are coming to town for Jase's birthday and re-wash the blankets and sheets I just washed YESTERDAY. If you look at Kaylins post thats whats in the hallway. Ugh......she doesn't need this and neither do I! And she poked a headband in her ear on accident yesterday and now there is dried blood coming out. Great! This girl is falling apart. Sigh!! At least cartoons are keeping her content.

Potty drama

I have always said Kaylin is passionate. This video proves it. I really debated about posting this but nothing is showing and it is really funny! Before I got the camera I told Kaylin to stop screaming so it would give her a minute to calm down before I tried to talk to her. So this is the tame, non screaming version of the real situation!! And yes it was because she was out of TP. Kaylin keeps me on my toes that's for sure! And notice the "Bye" at the end is virtually normal! Ha, love it!

Our Brennan

Every family has one. Not the black sheep cuz every family has one of those too. No, I'm talking about the goofy, crazy, seems to make everybody laugh all the time one. You know, a Brennan. My nephew is the one in his family and Jayda is the one in ours. I have about a hundred crazy pics and a hundred funny quotes (a lot of which I don't ever want to post) and a hundred goofy stories that I don't post because this would become Jayda's blog! I save them for rainy days when I don't know what to post about. Here's one.
Jayda woke up one morning and could not stop sneezing. Finally, I told her to go get a kleenex and bring it to me to see if it would help. She blew and blew and blew finally this came out-
A sticker. Winnie the Pooh's honey pot to be exact. She was playing with it two nights before. And if you know Jayda you know she always has a finger in her nose. She is a notorious nose picker. It's terrible!! Anyway, she admitted she was picking her nose while in bed and forgot she had the sticker on her finger. Didn't bother to tell me even though normally she thinks of every reason in the whole world to get out of bed. Like the other night when she came running in and said "Mom, Cooper has a butt hole just like me!" "Yes Jayda, he does, now get back in bed."

Jaselynne's turn

Jase is really liking gymnastics. She is in the 5-8 year old level 1 and she is the 2nd youngest in the class out of 10. She can't do everything the older girls can but since she has taken dance before she has great form. Best in the class if I do say so myself! You can tell in some of the pictures this is serious business. I don't know if she is going to do this next year because she misses dance and I have told her she has to choose, she can't do both. We'll see.Everytime I see this one I think "Holy Cow, she looks like she is bent right in half!"

Kaylin's turn

Kaylin LOVES gymnastics. Sean usually takes her and she asks all the time if it is her turn to go.Don't worry she didn't kick the little girl in the head (this time) only knocked her down and jumped on her. He He, she didn't really. Lovin it!This is the reason Sean usually takes her! I can't handle this stuff. She is C.r.a.z.y!
Her stamp at the end of the night. She won't let me wash them off for days.

All these pictures except the last hand pic were taken with the old point and shoot. Sean wouldn't take my camera. The difference in some of the photos is Wow. Makes me love my camera even more!

Gymnastics

Jase, John, Jayda and Kaylin are all in gymnastics. John and Jayda go on Wed. Kaylin goes on Thurs. and Jase goes on Friday. My week is filled with Gymnastics!! They have been going since the fall and will finish this summer. They love it. No one is tired of it yet and I haul them there and the other ones have to watch until their day and no one complains. Wonderful! This is Jayda and John and I will post Kaylin tom. and Jase the next day. Posts 3 days in a row. Wahoo!Takin a water break. All that running around is tiring!
Jayda ready for a somersault.John and his backbend. He can't remember to stay off his head.
Stretching it out.
Getting their hands stamped at the end of class.

Sundays Best

So this story makes a little more sense you need to know that while Jayda was sick she lost 2 pounds and is now weighing in at a whopping 24 and a half pounds. Anyway on with the story. I am Secretary for the Young Women and after church most days I am running around trying to get papers for the next week or whatever. So Sean is usually the one who walks around and gets the kids from all their classes. Well, yesterday Sean was walking down the hall with the kids in tow and a lady came up and tapped him on the shoulder. He turned around and looked at her and she said "your little girls underpants fell down." He looks down and sure enough Jayda was walking around with her panties at her ankles. He helped her pull them up and they headed my way. I was looking for someone and Jayda wanted to go so I took her with me. We were walking down the hall and she said "Mom, my pants fell down." I said "Jayda you're not wearing any pants" then I look down and see her panties at her ankles. Oh my poor Jaydee. Some of my YW saw and about died laughing. I pulled them up, giggled and told her I loved her and went on my way. I found Sean and started to tell him what happened and he told me what happened. We had a good laugh and talked about how it was a good thing she didn't just walk out of them. Panties in the hallway, Nice! Jayda and the kids thought it was funny too. I'm glad Jayda is not old enough to be embarassed about it. Nothing like someones skivies falling down to give you a good laugh.

INXS

Jase was telling her teacher's aide at school that she has A LOT of stuffed animals. So Mrs. Gibson asked Jase to count them all. Oh my gosh! This has brought to my attention that there are some things in this house that we have to much of. I do a very good job of thrift shopping and taking hand me downs. I am an avid garage saler and take pride that I rarely buy anything new. And we are just as spiffy as everyone else and no one is the wiser. I try very hard to keep my house decluttered and clean but I do have the Langshaw namesake. I am a (closet) pack rat. You can't tell by my house (not a whole lot of people know it) but we have a storage unit full of STUFF. I have come to terms with going through it this summer and dejunking. Anyway, I decided to count some of the things we have a ton of and came up with this. By the way this list is just kid items. I didn't count any of mine and Sean's anything.

86 pairs of shoes. Not counting slippers or flip flops

59 coats and jackets. Not counting the jacket/pant and jacket/skirt outfits.

160 kids movies.

75 pairs of pajamas in their drawers right now.

53 barbies. Plus accessories including 5 barbie cars.

and lastly 158 stuffed animals. Not including babies. And you may be thinking how in the world is Jase's room sleepable, well most are beanie babies or smaller. And like I have mentioned before Jase sleeps with Jayda on the bottom bunk so her top bunk is strickly stuffed animal area. :) She organizes them all the time. By size, by animal, by family, whatever.

I was going to do some honorable mentions (church dresses-obscene amount, my little ponies-I got a whole box last summer at a garage sale for 2$ crazy, books-I'd say at least 500) but I'm tired of counting stuff. You get the point. After all this I think I am going to go through some stuff. If I can sneak anything out anyway, Jase is a Langshaw too!

Special thanks go to: Garrett, Kelley, Amber, & Kerensa for the clothes and Kim & Trent for the barbies and boys clothes. None of this would have been possible without their help.

Jayda

You know your child is sick when.................................................... ......................................................she falls asleep on the toilet!
