She won't tell!

You might as well give up people, my mom has made an oath of silence. She might as well be a monk. In due time....

May special-color

The monthly special for take-out photo is color. All these pictures I went and took just for this challenge. It was pretty fun to just look for color. I am starting to look at things differently quite a bit more often. I have a ton more but these were my favorites. Forgive me for not choosing one but I am not confident enough to pick just one. Plus I spent a whole month hunting around town, flipping u-ees, dragging children and snapping pictures so take that!

Memorial weekend

What fun. What fun. But what a looong weekend. We had a good time hanging out with family and friends. Eating expensive (and not always good) spring fest food, riding rides, playing games, running the 5k, and going to the parade. That was just the festival. The fun run turned out to be a (lot of my) family thing. Easy to convince some, not so easy for others!

My mom and Kaylin at the end of the "fun" run.clockwise- My brother Russ, sis-in-law Kerensa, Kaylin, Jayda, my Mom, me, Johnny, nephew Conley, Jase and nephew Finley at the finish line. We all did the race and had a good time.

Good Job Mom. Thanks for pushing the kids and gettin in on the action. I'm proud of you. It wasn't so bad was it. And thanks for the good run Kerensa-can't wait till next year! :)

We also did some family BBQ'n and went and took flowers to my brothers grave. It has become a little tradition with Sean and I and my Grandma Langshaw. We enjoy the time and the kids remember it from the years before. This is a conversation I overheard today: Jase-"We are going to Troy's grave today." John-"Is that a dog?" Jase-"No, he's my.....he's was Mom's brother." John-"Did you love him?" Jase exacerbated-"No, but Mom does. It's her brother." Jase has an amazing memory and had this conversation with no prompting she just knew it was memorial day. I won't bore anyone with all the other stuff we did just trust me we were running all weekend. I hope everyone else also had a safe and fun memorial weekend.

The time has come

Yep, they are goin. Here's your chance, if you have been looking for a little friend to love, you can have one of mine. We are taking them to be given away but thought I would give notice they are ready. A free bag of kitty food goes with. Am I making the offer any more appealing?

(clockwise from top) Flower with her googley eye, Sparkles, Lu-Lu and Oreo need a new home. Aren't they so cute. They are a couple weeks older now but still as cute! Jase loving on the two boys.
Jayda with the two girls.
Them and their pretty mama. They don't mind little loving hands
Or squeezing arms.
My favorite. Oreo. He's the runt and the sweetest.

Let me know if my pathetic attempt to cut down the size of our little farm has worked. We will have them until Monday, plenty of time to convince parents and/or husbands.

As promised

A little run down of John and Kaylin lately.
Kaylin-she is loving life as a big 3 year old. Gets into trouble all day and sleeps good all night. She definitely adds spunk and sparkle to our house. This girl has a tight hold on my biggest nerve and my heart at the same time.

Blowing fuzzies at Grandma's house (I'm sure Grandpa appreciates it!) and lookin pretty cute.Every time she would suck in to blow she ate a few. Ha, that's my Kaylinee.John-very disappointed that school is almost over. I have to admit me to. Tomorrow is his last day. Graduated preschool and made some good progress. He still has another year of preschool before starting kindergarten. He is really starting to show some personality these last couple months. Me and Sean glance at each other and chuckle a lot more over John than we used to.

Kickin it at Dairy Queen waiting to get our Ice Cream and still sportin his little bald spot!On a walk to the park after Jase's gymnastics meet. She asked me to take a picture of her in her tu tu.He gets rather intense while watching cartoons. This was such a funny car ride. We had been to Wenatchee and I told the kids to close their eyes and go to sleep for the ride home. This is what I got for most of the trip.
Just had to include Jayda because it was such a funny site all the other kids desperate to go to sleep and Jayda snoring away.

Almost done!

Jase's Flip Flop Gymnastics meet was on Saturday. We are almost there. Done is within site! I'm excited for the time when I don't have to spend 3 nights a week here. Don't get me wrong it has been fun but all good things must come to an end! The meet was actually for all of the kids but we had to pay for them to be in it. Phhhh!!! So Jase was the only one who competed for the Redford family. When we are rich they can all compete as much as they like! Be prepared-pictures galore!

Announcing names
Balance beam was first.
Then floor. At this age they only jump off the board onto the mat. Then the bars.
Waiting for awards with some of her class.
Getting her medal.Of course she wanted a picture posing after the meet with her medal. She is so proud, as are we.

This week I liked...

I want to do an It could be worse post but I'll be positive and stick with

This week I liked...

..that my house stayed relatively clean all week.

..that Sean didn't get upset when I didn't get his work clothes washed in time (again).

..that Jayda is so eager to go to school.

..that Mom came over and we watched The Biggest Loser finale on DVR so we didn't have to watch the full 3 hours. I love fast forward. Ha!

..that I got to spend some good time with friends!

Does anybody else's child do this?

EVERY night Jayda strips. VERY rarely does she come down in the morning with clothes on. She hates clothes! She has always wanted to be naked but most babies do. The problem-she is not a baby anymore! She will be 4 (Oh My Gosh) in a few months and I have to tell her multiple times a day "Jayda put some clothes on!" She seriously has some texture issues. She refuses to wear socks, cries cuz her carseat straps bug her, will not wear anything with elastic wrists or ankles, cannot-will not-no way-wear jeans (I forced her in the family pics, she HAD to match:), if it were her choice she wouldn't wear undies and this is what happens every night. Nakedness. Please tell me she will grow out of this! I can't imagine to many more years of this. She's gonna give Sean a heart attack.Notice the Thomas the train blanket and the motorcycle pj's. All hers by choice. Definately a tomboy.

To look on the bright side-at least she leaves her pull-up on!

Could have been much worse!!!

While we were at a friends house Johnathon was playing with what I thought was a pretend electric razor. I was wrong. Not pretend! My friend saw him putting it to his head and yelled. This little buzz was all that it was. Phew! Disaster diverted. Shaved heads on some people cool, shaved 4 year old oddly shaped glaringly white head, not so cool. Oh and I would have to shave his forehead down to his eyebrows-couldn't have a shaved head and a hairy face. :) Jase wanted to do cool funny pictures and this is the best John could come up with.
Yep, eyes closed on purpose. What a jokester! ha.Random picture at Grandma Redfords. Evalie is staying with G and G while her Mom and Dad are on vacay for a week. Kaylin 3 and a half, Evalie 2 and Jayda almost 4. She looks like a monster baby compared to my girls but she really isn't that big but she really is that white!!!

Forgot a couple

In my haste the other night with changing the header and doing a post at midnight I forgot to post a couple pictures that turned out cute. These were both taken while I was getting the timer ready before I was ready to run in. Kaylin is sure enjoying herself!
I love, love, love this picture. Sean said something to Jayda and this is the reaction. They really do have a cute relationship!!It makes me laugh that in almost every picture John and Jase look the same. They wanted their candy whether it was a practice shot or not!

I love that girl!

Jase heard me talking on the phone to Celeste this morning about how Sean always lucks out and doesn't have to make me breakfast in bed for Mothers Day because we go to Moms for Mothers Day Brunch and a few minutes later she came walking up the stairs with this! Complete with Chocolate cake (thanks to aunt Kim), cereal with sugar, and cinnamon toast and milk. Made me smile! The one thing about a six year old fixing breakfast is the aftermath. Chocolate fingerprints littered the house, sugar on the floor, and little dirty footprints on every counter.

I did however forgive her for all that! :) Happy Day after Mothers Day to me!

Family Pictures

As you can see we went and took some family pictures. They turned out pretty good except Jayda is not in focus in almost all of them. For some reason poor Jayda looks like we cut and pasted her into the family. Ahhh! I couldn't tell looking at the little screen on my camera but I sure can on the computer. These will have to do until we can get out again. In the one below everyone is in focus but I don't like it as much so it just made it to the post. :) Our little family is sure looking cute though huh!
P.S. I would be willing to practice on families/kids/whatever if you so wish. Keep in mind I said practice but fun practice it would be!
