At it again!

I'm back in the swing of things! Our internet being shut off was not a cool thing for me. Not only were we (including me) all sick this week with the achy flu but Sean had to work nights so all I did was lay on the couch. Don't get me wrong I did have my tv so I wasn't going to die or anything. Anyway, thought I would post about what we did tonight. My little brother Brent turned 28 on the 29th and so we went to Moms house. My mom makes everything homemade so keep that in mind-BBQ Ribs(homemade sauce), twice baked potatoes, cheese biscuits, pea salad, fruit salad, and Angel food cake with strawberries. YUMMO! For our birthdays since I can remember my mom has made whatever we want for our birthday dinner (main dish, sides, and dessert). For years, and years we had Mac n Cheese for Brents dinner. I'm glad his food pallet has grown as he has! I have also carried on this tradition in my family. Sean was pretty surprised when I told him I would make him anything he wanted for his birthday dinner. And I thought everyone did it! :) Anyway, after dinner the guys (and me) watched the UFC fights on PPV and the kids played the Wii. Too bad Brent fell asleep during it. Happy Birthday little bro.

I got her hooked!

HA! All last season (which technically was just a couple months ago) I would tell my mom about The Biggest Loser. She would casually nod her head and say "uh huh" when I would rant and rave about Heba or Vicky but I could tell she didn't really care. Weeellll.....not anymore! My mom comes over to watch it with me and has now got it! She was crying right along with me tonight when we were watching last weeks episode (I recorded it) as well as ranting and raving about Joelle and her laziness! Your welcome Mom!

After I wrote this I decided I wanted to post some pics of my mom so here they are. Since I have gotten my scanner working-expect more flashbacks!! Enjoy!!Above-Pretty Cute Huh! He-He

So I stole these from someone elses blog and decided I am going to post one once in awhile.

Funny stuff!
P.S. Kaylin has been in timeout umpteen million times today so I am guessing she is feeling better! Besides the fact that she stopped throwing up!

I think this is gunna suck!!

Kaylinee has puked 3 times today. She has not been sick since we have had her so she has no idea what is going on and freaks out when she starts to throw up and hasn't figured out the bucket yet. Needless to say she is banished to the kitchen eating Cheerios and drinking pedialyte. Wish us luck, we'll see how the rest of the family does.
So sad huh!!

Monday Nights!

Monday nights in our family is called PIZZA, MOVIE AND GAME NIGHT. Every Monday we have Pizza and something fun to drink, watch a movie and play a game. Since we are poor we just have store bought pizza an .81 two liter (or juice) and a movie we already have. We pick the movie but let the kids take turns picking the game. When I was a kid Fridays were pizza and movie night at my house (still are, we have pizza twice in 4 days every week) so we decided we would continue the tradition-only on Mondays. We have added the game because we have soooo many games that if we didn't designate a day most would never get played. It takes a bit of effort and coordination to pack all this in on one night but the kids absolutely LOVE it. We like it to. Tonight we had pepperoni and meat lovers pizza, grape pop, watched The Lion King and played Elefun. I have great memories of my dad coming home with pizza and wondering what movie he got for us and I hope my kids will too.Isn't is funny our kids still seperate themselves. John and Kaylinee both wanted to sit on the same blanket and both wanted green plates. Jase and Jayda wanted the pink blanket and the orange plates. Everyday, all the time, they do this. Not because its what they really wanted, just because they want to be different.Elefun is o so fun! Jase always clobbers everyone at everything so we usually have a no win rule.
Happy Monday Everyone!!

Better late than never!

So everyone has posted since I did! Well, except Melissa and Kim but we know how that goes. :) And when Anne's posted 3 times I know I need to get on the ball. So we have had kind of an off week. Their have been some issues (don't ask) but I am starting to feel ok about things so back to blogging I go. I have a few things to blog about but can't spend much time typing. I need to get back to the housework I have been ignoring the last couple days so heres some pics without needing a whole lot of explaining.
This is last week-
To bad John and Kaylinee were still sleeping. Jase did the whole thing by herself!Poor Sadie I cut her hair finally because this would happen everytime she went out.Today!! Yeah, I know what the heck! Last week it was 3 deg. and we had feets of snow. Today it was 43 deg. and it all melted. Crazy ML. We'll see what happens next week I guess.

Attention, Attention.....calling all Redfords

Just so everyone knows Sean took about an hour to write his part on our Christmas card with tears in his eyes the whole time. He is so cute. He expects more than one comment people! (Thanks Shaila) He said he wouldn't post again if thats all the recognition he got. I tried to tell him its not about the comments but you know Sean. :) I need your help. POST! POST! POST!

Jaselynne-the future Nun

So I was talking to the kids about New Years Resolutions and Jase piped up and said "I have 2 resolutions." Me "Oh yeah, what are they?" Jase "One is to take old people things that they don't have and they need and the other is next Christmas to take kids presents who don't have any for their Christmas." Aaahhh.
