Oh Emily...

Emily is our cat. He was a stray who adopted us about 3 1/2 yrs ago and has moved with us ever since. Yes, I said he. Emily is a boy. Jase wanted to name Jayda Emily when I was pregnant and I told her she could name the cat but not my baby. So the scrawny homeless cat became our Emily. On with the story....we were eating dinner the other night and as I scooped another bunch of butter onto my 3rd helping of cornbread (i looove cornbread) Jase says "yesterday Emily was on the counter eating out of the butter dish." "Ahhh...Jase why didn't you tell me yesterday?" "I dunno." O well, good thing we all love Emily and are willing to share.
This was taken a couple months ago because Jayda wanted a picture with Emily.
This is how our fat cat sleeps. If you wake him up he rolls on his back and shows his big belly. As I am writing this post Jayda is saying "Awww thats Emily, I love my Emily!"

Update

For those worried about Jaselynne, it looks like the antibiotic is working. I have to take her back to the doctor in the next couple days so they can take another culture to make sure but I am optimistic. She is a strong kid.

Bye Colleen

For people who have no clue- I am talking about Biggest Loser. :) So totally not what I expected. I was thinking Heba and Vicky would go below. OH I WAS SO HOPING! I was thinking Colleen would be there quite a bit longer. That Amy C. is going to win it if she doesn't get eliminated by her own team mates. She is so quiet and non assuming but she is the biggest threat for everyone and they know it! Not as good an episode as I thought but pleasently surprised by Michelles pound choice. :)

John's Comedy Corner

I'm sorry I missed the funniest ones, and its a little long, and you really have to listen but the other kids sure thought John was the funniest comedian EVER.

All about Sean

So Sean has been poo pooing that I never write anything about him. Here ya go babe! Seans job is going pretty good. He is already looking at a change. So the rumors say anyway. We will see if this brings more money. We are in a dilemma right now because we need to move and we found a place that is decent and is $325 a month cheaper but if Sean gets offered a new position and it is more money we won't have to move. I hate to leave this house if we don't have to. The only reason it is a dilemma is if we move to this new rental it is guaranteed we will move again because this new house is certainly not a long time stay. Ok this isn't turning into a post about Sean. Back to my man- So Sean started getting sick. Not surprising because everybodys sick. Then his face started swelling on one side and he kept complaining about behind his ear bothering him. So he went to the doctor. Diagnosis.......a staph infection. Who wudda guessed. So the doctor totally loaded him up on antibiotics. He told him he wanted him to take a double dose the first night. He ended up being sick to his stomach all night and got a rash all over the next day. But he gradually went back on them (doctors orders) and hasn't had problems since. I hope he gets better! By the way, I am getting used to his new schedule and him sleeping on the couch all afternoon. :) At least he is home right. So to Sean, I love you, you are my stability, my heart, my good times, and my answer. It took me 4 pictures to get this one. He is such a goof. He kept closing his eyes on purpose but he did this and I said good enough for me! Can you tell I'm like-ooh if you close your eyes one more time I'm gonna shoot ya!
Jayda couldn't stand not being in on it so we let her and it turned out to be a good picture. He He I got a good picture of you Sean. I love my family!

Little bit sad

Well, Jase's no UTI streak is over. 10 months without one. We are so proud of her and were thinking maybe we were past this. She has had to take ALOT of medicine in her little life and has given up a lot of fun stuff in order to stay healthy. She has had numerous appointments with doctors where they poke, prod, x-ray and inject her with stuff. She is resistant to certain antibiotics and has become allergic to others. She has given up baths, hot tubs, and certain clothes, among other things. She also drinks a glass of cranberry juice a day since they took her off her daily preventative antibiotic. I think this is bladder infection #17 but Sean says its #20. I'm thinking of asking the doctor just so I know. She has also had 2 kidney infections. Needless to say we worry about her constantly. Anyway, she told me a couple days ago that it hurt when she went to the bathroom but she didn't have a fever so I just thought I would watch her. She was sick with a cold and so I kept her home from school just in case. When she gets a fever it gets very high very fast. I'm talking 104, 105 in a matter of an hour or two. But she didn't get one. So I thought maybe it was hurting because she had a little rash or something. Anyway, last night she told me blood was coming out. So to the doctor we went. Her options for treatment are slim so we will see if this antibiotic works. We will hope for the best and will love her more for enduring this once again. We love you Jaselynne Grace-Ann Redford and hope you feel better soon.

Fish a plenty

We have fish. Alot of fish! At last count it was somewhere around 75. We started out with 7. There is obviously no problem with reproducing in this family. :) Jaselynne was looking at the fish yesterday and exclaimed "Where is tiny? Mom, where is tiny? I don't see him." Well, what Jase doesn't know is that 3 days before I fished out a dead little tiny and disposed of him before she saw, thinking she wouldn't even notice he was gone. Well, that obviously didn't work. I am still softhearted towards her and keep saying "he must be in there somewhere." Did I mention Tiny was only the second fish to die. Leopardy was the first and she thinks he must have jumped out because he just disappeared. Hmm...stranger things have happened. Anyway, moral of the story is-you can't get ANYTHING past my first born!! The others well thats another story. :)

Yes, I am so fricken happy!

BRADY IS GONE! SEE YA SUCKA! HA-HA! GOOD RIDDANCE! So I am elated that Brady is gone, the only thing that could have been better was that if Vicky went. Yes, I will post when she leaves. More so because I dislike her even more! I might sound terrible but they are so kniven I can't stand it! Can't wait till next week!

At least once a week

So spaghetti night was tonight. This meal guarantees my children eat great at least once a week. It also guarantees my children get a bath night besides the night before church!

Kaylin is such a cheese ball! This picture was taken right after Kaylin got her daily dose of "Daddy, don mess up ma ha!" For those of you that don't know, Kaylin and her dad have a fun game of messing up hair.

So this is proof that my bony boy eats! He is pretty proud of himself right now!

This is Jayda's 4th helping of noodles slathered with butter. Not a whole lot of nutrition but definitely a lot of fat! :) Any fat is good fat for my Jayda Baby! For those of you who are Jase stalkers she didn't feel good so no pics today.

Workin' it!

So I left Jaselynne watching cartoons on KSPS and come back and she is watching this. She had gone and got a chair and everything! What a crack up! Nothing like the back breaking work out of old lady aerobics!

Chicken!

Jase comes to me and tells me she wants to try and sleep on the top bunk again. She wants to be "a big girl and not be scared mom." The last time she tried she was 3. I was all for it and tried to syke her up and spent some time preping her bunk with various stuffed animals and comfy blankets. We had the talk about being scared and what she could do then we read a story and I left her. I went back in to check on them before I went to bed and this is what I found.
Notice this is the bottom bunk and she is all cuddled up nice and cozy with a pillow and 3 blankets piled on her and then you see Jaydas foot. Poor Jayda was kicked out, forced to the foot of the bed without a single blanket. I laughed, covered up Jayda, and went to bed!

My littlest doesn't look so little

So I never thought with my oldest being 5 that I could say I have 4 kids and my youngest is almost 3. Believe me I feel it! But I don't always realize how old Kaylin is. When I got her dressed today I saw she looks officially like a toddler. I can look and see I am out of the baby stage but doesn't mean I won't baby them any less!

Finally the halloween pics

Here are the pictures from Halloween!
Johnathon was the Koala, Kaylin was a carebear, Jayda was a mouse and Jaselynne was a high school musical girl.
This was at the church halloween party in the bouncy house.
They spent most of the time trying to stand up and all my pictures ended up with them on their tails.

Yes, Maycee looks a little freaky. Maybe she thought because she was dressed as prom queen that she had really won! All in all we had fun and actually didn't end up with to much candy. Maybe it will only end up lasting until Feb instead of me giving it away next halloween. Hey, I know a lot of people who regift. :)

Its a twofer

So I was thinking "Wow, how lucky are we that Kaylin has been the only one to get a black eye!" I should have knocked on wood because the very next day Jayda fell off the top bunk onto her face and there happened to be a fan in the way. So she hit square on the bridge of her nose. Now she has two black eyes! It is mostly on one eye but none the less technically we have 3 black eyes in the family. Don't report me we have witness'. :)My beautiful baby girl! At least it won't leave a scar, right!
And the twofers together. I've been calling them my black eyed babies!
