Memorial Day

Happy Memorial Day!
First off,
I am grateful to all my family who have served
in the Armed Forces.
Along with all the other Men and Women,
past,
present,
and future!
We made our annual trip to Ephrata
to put flowers on my brother Troy's grave.
Sean and I started doing this years ago
and started picking up Grandma to go along.
As our family has grown
so has the number of flowers the girls
beg to cut and take with us!
I think we had the most yet! These aren't the greatest pictures!
Me tired (no makeup!), taken with Sean's Iphone,
and no one paying attention.
But it's what I got!!
Me scrubbing away getting everything squeaky clean.I think it's pretty funny how neat the girls think the graveyard is.
Jase said "Man, these people are lucky who get to
live right next to the graveyard."
Yep, if only we were that lucky. Ha!

Well, we made it seven years.

Seven years with no stitches or glue.
Not to shabby.
My Jaselynne was running to turn the hose off
and tripped and hit the faucet for the hose.
Head wound=instant blood.
Sean saw Jase rubbing her forehead and smearing it everywhere
and she hadn't seen the blood yet
so he told her "just lay your head on my shoulder
and put your arms around me."
That's my husband--a thinker.
So off to Urgent Care we went.

She did really well.
She only had one tear roll down her cheek
when the doctor was pushing it around.
(Mind you-she screamed the whole way there
scared of what the doctor was gonna do!)
Here she is all clean and numb waiting to be glued!

Here's the after.
She said she was trying to do a hurt face.
(They had to shave about a half an inch of hair.
That will be great for the bangs she has
been trying to grow out for months!) She didn't want to smile although it was still numb
and she was doing just fine.

Sick but not that sick

I have been having a bit of a pity party for myself this last week. It has been a hard week. The stresses of life running a muck and the rain and cold seem to get me aching a bit more. I've been crankier than usual and finally told Sean yesterday that I was frustrated. I was tired of being tired. I decided that I was going to set myself a bedtime, do more research on foods meds and yoga, and go to the naturopath. I always thought I was a pretty resilient. That I was tough. But this has had a way of bringing me down. Constant pain weaves it's way into everything. But I am done being the victim. Done letting this control everything. I am ready. It took me a little bit but I'm ready. Bring it on.

Raggin it

Jayda had to have her hair curly and half up for her dance pictures today. Last time I tried to curl it IT DID NOT HOLD AT ALL! So one of the teachers suggested rag curling it. I had never done it so I looked it up online and found a tutorial and went to work.

All ragged out.
I had some loose ends on the bottom but decided the curling iron would have to work for those. I was done! The next morning was kink fest.Hehe. Isn't is soooo curly. Little Orphan Jayda. And the After. I used my fingers to pick it out some and tadaaa!

From now on it is only rags for this family!

I can almost relax

Yay!!! I'm finally going to have a fence!
Having a fully enclosed yard is a dream!
Digging 22 holes and filling them with poles and cement-
not so much!
But I'm in love, and it's not even done yet!!
3 dogs, 2 kids and a cat. A bit of a worry with no fence!

Jase's Doctor visit

We had an appt. in Wenatchee last Thursday. She was sent to the urology specialist again. It went pretty well, as pretty well as it could. She was put on another prescription so now she has 2 different meds she takes everyday for at least the next year. Poor kid. But if it gets this UTI mumbo jumbo under control it will be good. He did a test to measure the fluid in her bladder and it was way to high after going to the bathroom twice so he thinks that's a lot of her problem. She is not voiding all the way. Her body thinks she is but she's not. So one of the meds will help with that. She was put on a pee every 2 hours schedule. I thought I was done with that when I finished the last potty training session. I already track everything else that has to do with her body and bodily functions-what's one more. She has an ultrasound to check the scarring on her kidneys tomorrow. If it is the same they won't do anything but what's already being done. If it is more then they will repeat the VCUG. Which is a terrible thing. It involves dye, a catheter, x-rays and peeing on an x-ray table. She had it done last time when she was 4 and I hope she doesn't have to do it again. Wish us luck!

Jayda conversation

Mom-"Jayda you're so smart"
Jayda-"I know. Jase taught me to be smart and good and not listen."
Dad-"To NOT listen?"
Jayda-"Ya"
Dad-"Not listening, that's not good."
Jayda-"Well then you better talk to Jase about that."

I know you may tend to think I only have one child---Jayda---but alas I don't. I have a first child---Jaselynne---and will be doing a post on her and her health tomorrow. I love her just the same but spend way more alone time with my Jayda baby resulting in way to many posts on that little love muffin. I'll try to even it out a little. No promises though.
I hate to see what this blog will entail when both my children are in school full time.

Bunch o pictures

Jase is determined to catch a bird. This is her bird catcher she built. That's a crushed cracker in the middle. When she went out to check on it later she was super excited that they had ate the cracker and said "I just need a better trap." I didn't tell her the dog ate the cracker. :)Make up time.

This was who turned out for the Mother's Day Brunch at Mom's this year.
G-ma Lobe, me, Aunt Donna, Mom, G-ma Langshaw
We have had some absolutely crazy weather lately. It has been wind, storms, one day 60's the next day 80's. We even had a small tornado touch down that picked up a barn and trampoline and moved them. One good thing though is we have had some awesome rainbows lately. Even double rainbows.
While taking the camera to get pics of the rainbow I found this in the fridge.
I'd eat her.

Ewww....I don't like spiders!

I don't even know if gajillion is a word!

But that's how many baby spiders were born right outside

my door this morning!
A gajillion!

I didn't even get them all in the picture!

It was CRAZY!

(and for the record I didn't kill them. I twirled them up

with stick and put them in the lilac bush by the driveway)

True Love

As I have mentioned we now have a cat. The girls were a little intimidated for a bit because she had bandages, stitches, shaved spots and overall just looks weird. She is also a little aggressive in her attention seeking. She is not mean at all just a little obnoxious like trying to jump on your head, running to lay on you if you are on the floor and constantly rubbing her stitchy gross tail on you. But they are coming around. This is totally the reason why I posted this. This picture. Jayda was staring at her butt and gross tail and not wanting to move until she moved. You should have seen Jayda's bobbing and weaving whenever Koe would swish her tail. Hahaha. Funny stuff.
I took these from the top of the stairs because I was afraid if I went down she would move. And why would I want to ruin that moment!

Insurance---yes please!

Yep, you read that right.
$491.99 for a 10 day dose of Jaselynne's latest UTI antibiotic.
(Yet another reason I am grateful for insurance!)

Dance Fever

Jayda had a practice run for their dance performances. They had the opportunity to dance their hearts out for the 4th Ward RS Luncheon. I am glad they got to do this. It gave them a chance to see what it would be like on stage for the BIG performance. Not to mention I got to see the cutest little 4 year old I know in the cutest dance costumes.
Before going on.Center StageBirdy Costume!
She doesn't look thrilled, I know. She is not a big dance lover. She doesn't absolutely hate it but we will both be excited when I no longer have to persuade her to go and she no longer has to be persuaded.

I truly am lucky to be surrounded by such wonderful women and shining examples of great Moms! Each of them are an inspiration to me

Our four legged visitor is staying

This Plus This
Equals This.
(Notice the shaved rat tail. Gross huh.)
Our cat Koe, who has been living at Mom's house for close to nine years, now calls our basement behind the Christmas decorations home. You may be asking why our cat was living at Moms. That's a funny, long story that I don't want to type out. Anyway, Koe was attacked by a coyote. She's lucky and tough. Good thing that's the kinda cat I want.

Journaling

So if any of you are in Young Womens you would know lesson 16 is on Journals. I didn't have to teach because it was my lovely YW Presidents turn. My favorite Sunday of the Month. Anyway, she taught us about how Awesome Journaling is. She was telling us about the different ways to Journal and I brought up blogging because in reality it's the closest thing to Journaling I do. She challenged us. What would a lesson be without a challenge right? So here it is.
My Journal Challenge-document what I did in the half hour after getting home from Church.
I came home from Church. Waited patiently at the back door while Jase and Jayda took far to long to walk in. I told them they needed to change. I noticed a message on the answering machine and called my Mom back. She gave me some sad news about OUR cat that lives at HER house. I plugged in the fryer so we could have our usual chili cheese fries after church for snack/lunch. I tried to get some napkins off the top shelf and knocked down the plastic cups, bag of straws and ripped the napkin bag causing approximately 152 napkins to fall on the floor. I thought about getting the stool next time while Jase helped me pick up said napkins. I told Jase Thank You for helping without being asked and accidently kissed the underside of her nose. We laughed. I facebooked. I liked a status. I messaged a friend. I read random blogs while my kids whined about the fryer taking far to long to get hot. I fried things. I told Jayda to get back. Jayda didn't listen fast enough. I splashed hot oil on her foot. I grabbed a handful of dirty napkins to wipe her off. I Momed. She's ok. Jase came in and made fry sauce. She dropped the lid for the mayo (without me realizing) and didn't pick it up. When she was done I helped her locate the licked clean mayo lid and told her she couldn't tell Cooper he was a bad dog for cleaning up the lid when she hadn't. I watched her wash the lid. I talked to my Mom again with better news on the kitty. I am glad my Mom is an animal lover even happier my Dad got to save his .20 cent shot gun shell. I helped dress. I opened manderin oranges. I served food. I starved. I fulfilled my challenge.
The End.
