There's 2 of them! Wish me luck!

Done with the first night of a 5 day stint of respite. T. and R. are 2 yr. old fraternal twins and are making themselves right at home. I think just one of them would be a handful. I told Sean-the good thing about this is it will be a reminder we can wait awhile before we do it again. Here are "the troubles." Sorry no face shots.
Oh and the foster mom traveled a couple hours here just to use us. She obviously didn't know how dang hot it is here because I have to go shopping for short sleeved shirts today. I do have plenty of boy clothes but unfortunatly they are packed in the back of the storage unit until we get into our house. They are wearing Dane's clothes I snagged last night. Thanks Dane!

Bye Bye Mississippi St.

We should be all the way outta here today! I realized with this move that when you have a bigger house you buy more stuff! This was our hardest move. Way to much stuff and I didn't realize it until we were actually moving. To late to go through stuff and take it to Goodwill or have a garage sale. I am definately mentally prepared to do that with the next move though! We are moving into a temporary place for a couple/few weeks until our house is livable. Sad news for you as I won't be able to blog regularly. Stay tuned for pictures of the new palace!
And of course since the camera came out there was begging of action shots. And of course I was willing. Ignore the terrible grass, it needs fertilizer and we weren't real willing since we were moving. Sorry grass! Thanks to all of our family who helped and all of our friends who offered to help. Thank-you, Thank-you, Thank-you!

Monthly Challenge-July

The monthly challenge for Take out Photo was Fragmentary Portraiture. That's another reason why I wanted to take the girls out. What better subjects. I picked my favorite features, kept in mind the advice of strong diagnals and had some fun!

I love, love, love Jase's freckles. I don't think she will love them when she gets a little older (I didn't) so me and Sean really play up how cute they are and how they make her-her.

Although her pink lips weren't the focus they sure pop out don't they!

I am also in love with Jayda's hair. Such a tiny girl with such long pretty hair.

She would not leave this piece of grass alone so then I moved on to her hands.
And her showing me her owee made such a nice triangle I told her stop crying and hold still. Just kidding I only told her to hold still!

My Girls!

I had wanted to do new family pictures but Sean is sick and didn't feel up to my adventures. I thought if I got the girls ready maybe I could convince him but it didn't work. Why waste a day! Jayda is sooooo hard to get a real smile out of!! But isn't she just a cutie anyway!
And my Jase with her Dad's beautiful blue eyes!

Fun times.

My Grandma came for a visit this week. Isn't she so cute. She went with us to the free movie on Wednesday among other things. We were running allllllll day. We wore Grandma out and she ended having to take a nap. Sorry for wearing you out but we sure had fun!! That night we also took the girls mini golfing. Jase has been asking for 2 years to go and we finally bucked up and went. Not that we didn't want to-we just never did it. Sean is holding Jase's club because she swung it up for the picture and hit him. At least he smiled!
Jayda was having a hard time hitting the ball. Notice how far off the club was when she swung. It took a while but we had fun anyway.
Jase was trying so hard to be perfect. So her!!
Jayda is such a cheater. She would not stop moving, carrying, rolling and putting her ball in the hole. Here she is cheating on the ant hole. Sorry about the crack shot. That's just Jayda!

Sean ended up hitting his ball in the clown nose and we won a free game so it looks like we will be going again. We have no excuse now.

Frustrated!

This house thing is totally driving me crazy. We better be moving this week or I am going to be ticked! Just thought I would vent! Besides that everything has been a little slow around here. Going from 4 to 2 and not babysitting Dane this month is taking it's toll on my blog and making me officially bored. Good news is my house sure stays clean! But I do have some blog worthy stuff coming soon so stay tuned.

This week I...

-packed quite a bit. Getting ready to move is not as fun as I remember.

-loved spending time with my girls. We did a lot of fun stuff this week!

-thought a lot about my friends and family, a lot of good news and bad news this week.

-read way to much. 1,977 pages since Monday. Twilight books 2-4. 4 surprised me, I didn't predict a lot of it like I did the others.

-washed a disgustingly gross puppy. You don't want to know.

-shampooed all of my carpets. It took me 6 hours. We have A LOT of carpet.

-almost killed the dogs after they peed on my newly shampooed carpets. Not kidding, it was a close one. Then I shampooed the carpets again. Thankfully not all of them.

-fell in love with my little family all over again.

Take me out to the ballgame...

We went to a Mariners game yesterday. Fun stuff. All of us had a great time. We were late getting there even though we left with plenty of time to get there. Can you guess why? What was I thinking? Jase drank ALL of hers before I even noticed and took them away. Needless to say we stopped a gazillion times on the way up!Oh so excited! Forgive my little digi camera it's not the highest quality!First things first when we get there. Family picture! Oops! We tried 5 times! And of course I was to chicken to ask anyone sitting by us. All of them were guys and didn't look terribly friendly. Finally I just took one with me and Jayda to prove she was there! We were in the 19th row! Wahoo! These are the benefits of having a mom who works at Colstor! Of course we had 6 tickets and asked around and no one else could go. Boo. Last pitch of the game. What a let down. The game wasn't really a Mariners game to Jase until she saw the Mariner Moose. He kept jumping and turning around so this is the best I got but Jase looooves this pic. She has been in love since she met him last year!
One last try when the game was over. I'll take what I can get even if it's with me holding Jayda's face up and saying hold still.
After the game as we were leaving. Notice the sweatshirt. Yep, thought I packed jackets. Had ours but not theirs. $70 for the both of them and Jayda didn't even wear hers! Argggg!
Showing off her goods!

We had a good time. The girls did really well and I am grateful Sean could get off work so we could have some family time!

Ode to John and Kaylin

We had Friday all to ourselves and we made the most of it! We decided a couple weeks ago we were going to have a bye-bye party and this was the day. I documented it well. I am not sure why I took so many pictures, maybe because I knew it would be the last ones I would take with them as part of our family. 158 pictures is plenty. I narrowed it down to 42. Here goes.

The start of our day. We headed to Grandma Ribs house to go swimming. I took them myself and was a little nervous because none of them really know how to swim.
I had nothing to fear as John and Kaylin were as scared of drowning themselves as I was. Kaylin was wearing just a life jacket and wanted to jump in. I helped her and she couldn't stay upright (which totally freaked the heck outta her) so we added another life jacket and she added the floaty. Just in case. :)
For the first little bit this was the only way she would move.
John acted like he was so ready to swim. He wanted to attempt the slide. He totally chickened out and this is what happened.
As you can tell Dane is a little dare devil.
He did finally get in after about an hour but not without a floaty. And he did end up enjoying himself.
Jase is not scared of the water because she has had swimming lessons but they however haven't really helped her learn how to swim. She is not opposed to wearing a life jacket thankfully. Look at this hang time. Makes me proud!
Jayda is also sooo not scared of the water. She freaks me out. Totally wants to do anything and everything and without ANY help!
Swimmin with my girls!

I finally put on a life jacket to because I got so tired of catching everybody and swimming them to the edge for hours.
John finally did go down the slide. We told them it was time to get out and I guess he figured it was now or never.

After we took warm showers and dried off we had pizza. John and Kaylin looooove pizza so pizza was meal of the night. They can sure chow it down.

After pizza was cupcake making and decorating. Complete with candles and singing Happy Bye-Bye party to you.

Then it was on to present time. We got them a couple little things and then let them open the big ones.

I love this one you can see him saying "Ohh, yaaa!"

They loved them!!!! I had been looking for scooters at garage sales this summer but hadn't found any in good shape. We finally broke down and just went and bought them. $70. Ouch!
We got home and talked about their life with us and their life to come, shared memories, read some special books and didn't get in bed until 11. We had a very fun, very exhausting, well worth it day! Saturday, moving day, was the 4th. We moved all their stuff outside. Man it took me longer to pack their stuff than I thought it would! Now you can see why. And that's not all of it. Can't say they weren't spoiled.
After moving stuff was done we lit off some fireworks which I forgot to take pictures of.Then we ate popsicles. By far one of the kids' favorite things to do!
A 4th of July picture. You can tell John wasn't enthused with what was coming but he did pretty good considering.
Our last family picture with John and Kaylin. It was a sad day but we really tried to make it exciting and something to look forward to not something to dread.

John and Kaylin were a prominant part of our family and we will miss their fun, their attention, their passion for cleaning up and them as our children. We love you kids.
